๐จ The role: As a learning facilitator, you will be engaging with and guiding learners through interactive learning experiences in a virtual environment.
You would be a good fit for the role if you
- are passionate about helping children ages 8-14;
- have an interest in essential soft skills (e.g. communication, collaboration, critical thinking);
- are a good team player and leader;
- are comfortable with using various technologies and platforms, e.g. padlet, kahoot, figjam, airtable
This role is 100% remote and training will be provided.
Listen in to "Overheard in Class" - This gives you a sense of the kind of conversations that might arise in a Doyobi session, which you would get to facilitate and encourage critical thinking and reflection.
๐ Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare for and facilitate the quests designed by the Doyobi team
- Actively nurture a safe environment for students to share their thoughts in a group setting. Observe and monitor individual and group dynamics to ensure a safe culture of learning and growth
- Prioritise guidance instead of instructional facilitation, creating opportunities for all students to share their voice.
- Prompt students to actively listen, discuss and learn how to manage inter-connected, complex situations with open-ended questions.
- Effectively nudge and organise learners to meet classroom objectives within the allotted time.
- Introduce various thinking strategies, as curated by Doyobi at appropriate times
๐ Here are some preferred pre-requisites
- Applicants should enjoy spending time with young learners
- Experience: 2+ years of experience working with learners aged 8-14 on a part-time or full-time basis
Skills:
- Strong command of the English Language
- Facilitation skills to engage students meaningfully
- Classroom management skills to navigate chaos in an open-ended environment, while maintaining a safe, supportive environment for students
- The initiative to learn independently and quickly fill knowledge gaps, especially with regard to new technologies and platforms.
- Observation skills to respond appropriately to learners and record their progress.*A template detailing the requirements will be provided for each assignment.

- If your application is successful, you will be invited to attend a briefing session. These sessions will offer applicants an opportunity to ask questions and gain more insights into the role.
- Applicants must attend and complete all training and briefing sessions to be eligible for assignments.
- No compensation will be offered for attending these sessions.
- Successful applicants who have completed assignments may also be invited to expand their role within the team by offering their insights and feedback for product development.
